Workshop with Campo Verde High School Orchestras in Gilbert, Arizona! Students learned a fiddle tune by ear, in one session without having seen sheet music prior or during, and brand new to the tune! They also learned about how different stylistic bowings and ornamentation contribute to the feel and sound of a tune. I loved my time with this great group of young musicians! Another tune learned completely by ear, adding style and flavor along the way. The traditional Irish tune “Tripping Upstairs” never sounded better!

CLASSICALLY TRAINED FIDDLER
I HOLD A MASTERS IN MUSIC PERFORMANCE AND PEDAGOGY AND PLAY EVERYTHING VIOLIN. I LOVE THE INSTRUMENT, AND MUSIC IS MY PASSION. MY FAVORITE? CELTIC FIDDLING. BUT I WILL PLAY IT ALL, AND LOVE NEW COLLABORATIONS AND WORKING WITH TALENTED MUSICIANS THAT INSPIRE ME TO REACH HIGHER. PERFORMING MUSIC AND CONNECTING WTIH THE CROWD IS SOMETHING I TRULY TREASURE. I LOVE SHARING MY KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING WITH MY STUDENTS, AND INSPIRING OTHERS TO DO ANYTHING THEY DREAM OF DOING WITH MUSIC.
